Some behavioral problems have an underlying medical cause. Medical conditions and symptoms such as pain, gastrointestinal distress, abnormal thyroid function, neurologic issues. The longer a behavioral problem is present and left untreated, the longer and harder it can be to correct or minimize.
We offer a complete physical exam, laboratory tests and consultation to help you and your pet achieve a good plan forward. We work closely with local trainers to work on behavior modifications, training tips and techniques, and positive reinforcements.
Some pets also need medications to help them. Medications alone are not a solution, but can really help in addition to proper training and desensitization methods. We will discuss various medication options and side effects to customize and plan just for you and your pet.
