Our structured externship program involves specific rotations and interactive participation from the veterinary student. Our goal is for our externs to leave our practice with pearls of real-world information to take with them beyond graduation.

- Must maintain good attendance, be engaged, and demonstrate professionalism throughout the course of the internship
Shadowing Opportunities:
Washington Heights Veterinary Clinic offers shadowing opportunity for those interested in veterinary medicine to immerse themselves in the multifaceted world of private practice. This clinic provides a comprehensive internship experience where students can explore every aspect of veterinary care, from hands-on clinical procedures to the daily operations of a busy practice. With a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about teaching, participants receive valuable exposure to patient care, medical diagnostics, and client interactions.
